Gillian Plummer, MScPT, CSEP-CEP

Gillian (she/her) started her healthcare journey by getting her Bachelor of Kinesiology from Acadia University, where she focused on exercise physiology and sports injury management. Fuelled by her drive to promote wellness, she went on to become a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP-CEP), putting her skills into practice before deciding to further her education. In 2023, Gillian earned her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Queen's University.

With a collaborative mindset, Gillian takes pride in developing personalized treatment plans that empower each individual she works with to achieve their goals and get back to doing the activities they care about most. Building a strong foundation of trust is key for her, as she encourages active involvement in the rehabilitation process. Her treatment approach emphasizes movement-based therapies, exercise prescription, activity modification, and tailored home exercise programming. To complement her treatment approach, she incorporates hands-on techniques to facilitate steady, sustainable progress. Gillian is passionate about staying ahead of the curve, with a keen interest in continuing her education through courses on sports injury management, taping, and manual therapy.

Movement has been a lifelong passion for Gillian. During her formative years she was immersed in a diverse range of extracurricular and school activities including dance, karate, singing, theatre, lifeguarding, and track and field (javelin throwing). These days, she finds joy in hiking/walking, running, bouldering, weightlifting, reading, and rediscovering her love for playing the guitar.

Gillian is excited to embark on this new chapter in Kingston and is looking forward to empowering the community to take an active role in their health and well-being.
