Strength
Strength is the body's ability to push or pull weight, and to stabilize when being pushed or pulled against. We are strong believers that everyone should be strong! (See what I did there?)
Whether your goals are performance, strength or physique related we have a selection of strength coaches so that you’re ensured the right fit for your aspirations. Our variety of equipment and approaches to training ensure all of the basics of progressive strength building are met, while allowing for personalization so that training sessions are both effective and FUN.
When you come to us for training, you can expect a friendly face, a full movement assessment, goal oriented progressive programming, personalization to your individual needs and an uplifting, supportive environment for you to thrive.
Mobility
Mobility is the body’s ability to move freely throughout a full range of motion, without compensation, pain or loss of stability. This is increasingly important for athletes and anyone who gets older each year (hint: that’s all of us). We often hear of mobility as a form of injury prevention - which it is - however there are lots of other benefits to mobility (and strengthening throughout that mobility).
For the athlete, mobility might mean strengthening the weak points of your slapshot so you can shoot harder, or improving your soccer kick to score the game winning goal this summer!
For the middle aged adult, it could mean getting outside and playing with your kids, nieces, nephews and/or grandchildren. Being able to interact with them on their level, with less breaks and a significant reduction in grunts and groans!
For an older adult, mobility can provide the added range of motion to sit in a lower chair, complete tasks around the house with little/no help, and continue with hobbies you’ve loved your whole life. In short, it restores and maintains independence.
